Fall Creative Founders Conference Speaker Heather Jordan
Hooray! We are in the final week that our Conference Registration is open, and this week, we have our sixth speaker, Heather Jordan of Durst and Jordan Accounting on the blog!
Heather joined us at the Spring 2018 Conference and taught the Money session. She is such a wealth of knowledge that we knew we had to have her join us again.
Over the last few weeks, we've been sharing about each of our Speakers individually and share more about what each of them will be speaking on for our Fall Creative Founders Conference. So far, we have introduced Valerie McKeehan of Lily & Val, Erin Kendrick of Erin is Creative, and Heather O'Brien of Heather O'Brien Design. Today, Heather will be our sixth speaker we're introducing, and we're thrilled she's joining us once more!
Hi gals! My name is Heather Jordan from Durst & Jordan. I am a wife, a mom to two beautiful boys, and a business owner. I will be speaking at the Fall Creative Founders Conference on “Your Business, Your Money”.
I am a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the State of Florida. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor in Finance from the University of West Florida in 2009, graduating with honors. I received a Master’s degree in Professional Accountancy in 2012, also from the University of West Florida. I am a member of the Santa Rosa Young Professionals and currently, serves as Treasurer for both The Early Learning Coalition of Santa Rosa County and the Escarosa Coalition on the Homeless.
I have been in the accounting field for over 10 years and I love what I do, but more importantly I love seeing my clients succeed.
In my session we will cover quite a few topics from business structures to income taxes. Most importantly we will circle around “Are you making money?”
At the end of the day we are all concerned about our work/life balance (I have the same struggles!). We want to have plenty of money to pay the bills and enough to enjoy our families and friends without working ourselves into the ground. So, we'll answer a few questions and work together through things to help you in this area. Specifically, how many clients do you need or products do you need to sell to make this a reality? How much do you need to be charging for your products and services to make your business sustainable, and how do taxes come in to play with everything you create?
My passion is small business management, my goal is to have successful clients in whatever version of success they want to have.
I have been in accounting for over 10 years and self-employed for the past 5 years. Whether I choose to work from home or the office I struggle with the same taxes and management skills you do! Work/life balance is my goal and version of success. What is your version of success?
Join me at the Fall Conference in October to answer these questions:
✧ What type of business are you? Does this make sense for you?
✧ What is the difference between a Sole Proprietorship, an LLC, an S-Corp, and why do they matter?
✧ What is your version of success?
✧ How are you going to manage your business money? What do you need to do and how?
✧ How to make money ... or, are you making money?
✧ Taxes: How, Why, and am I paying too much?
All of these questions are ones you need to know the answer to as a creative business owner, especially when it comes to your Money. We know that this topic is the one that normally has the most questions surrounding it, so we have planned for ample time for our attendees to have time to ask all of the money related questions they need to, in addition to setting up a plan for financial success for years to come.
Join Heather along with our six other speakers at our Fall Conference taking place this upcoming October 4-7, 2018 on Pensacola Beach. Registration is open until this Friday, September 7th at midnight, unless we sell out prior.
