The 2017 Creative Founders Conference, Day 2 Recap!
A look back at our 2017 Creative Founders Conference...
In early March of 2017, 20 women walked through the doors of the Lee House for our 2017 Creative Founders Conference. They were excited, nervous, and walked in knowing that so many things for their business were about to change. The next four days that transpired were some of the most memorable for the year, and it has been incredible to see them grow in so many different ways.
Below is our Day Two Recap of our 2017 Conference. Day 1 is located here, and Day 3 is located here. If you were an attendee, we hope you enjoy this walk down memory lane today, and if you're interested in joining us for 2018, register here. Enjoy!
This day started quietly, with everyone waking up at The Lee House, and going for a walk next to the bay, sipping coffee on the front porch in rocking chairs, or sitting on the patio in the back listening to the birds chirping their hellos. We started the day at 9am, and everyone was relaxed and excited to begin.
We started the morning session with Bonnie of B is for Bonnie Design, and WOW did she start out the day strongly! She covered topics like our vision and mission, adding your values into your brand, what could set you apart in your brand, and your overall brand aesthetic. There were so many "aha" moments for people during her presentation, and it was a fantastic way to begin the morning.
Following Bonnie's presentation, we had the first Breakout Session, where Aislinn spoke about Scaling your Business and Kristin taught a session on Photo Styling for Social Media. We then had a short break for lunch, followed by our second breakout session, where Jennifer taught about Creating Collections for your Business, and Bonnie taught about using Instagram with Authenticity.
In the afternoon, we covered the most in-depth Module, Your Money. Janet of Paper and Spark taught this module, and this is always the one that seems to impact our attendees the most, because you actually see how much you are making and spending broken down into every sense of the word. Janet spoke on Money Mindset, Bookkeeping Tasks, Taxes, and business deductions that helped you to make the most out of your business and set you up for success well.
After the Money Module, we headed out to a local restaurant, The Fish House, and had appetizers and cocktails on the deck bar outside, followed by a delectable dinner next to a large aquarium in a private room.
After dinner, we returned back to The Lee House where porch chat night two continued with Janet teaching about Selling on Etsy and Bonnie teaching about Client Experience. Overall, it was a very full day, but also one filled with so. much. knowledge to improve everyone's businesses moving forward.
On Monday, we'll be continuing the 2017 Creative Founders Conference Recap! If you know this is the conference for you, we would love for you to register to join us for our 2018 Conference, here.
And, a tremendous thank you has to be included here for our local Pensacola vendors: the team at Aislinn Kate Photography for capturing all of the images shown for the duration of the conference, Fiore of Pensacola for providing the flowers for the week, and The Fish House for catering.
